2.1 Water Inlet Part Assembly

Water inlet part assembly consistsof inlet pipe liner, fixed support(including stay ring), bulb head, lifting hole cover etc.

Diameter of turbine fixed support is 1560 mm, and a square hole of 500×650mm at the top, which is used for installing and dismantling components in the bulb.

Two bottom legs is used at the fixed support for supporting on the foundation. One hole at the upper, lower fixed guide vane of the stay ring, in which the upper hole is oil, water pipe inlet, and lower pipe is water, oil drainage outlet. Guide bearing shall be installed at the front flange of guide vane inner ring, with the conponent weight in the turbine flow and dynamic load transfering to the basement by fixed support.

2.2 Guide bearing assembly

This structure uses single row cloumn roller bearing, which is easy to install and maintain. The seal is skeleton rubber oil sealing structure, simple total structure, which is easy to install and maintain.

2.3 Distributor

Distributor used to form and change the circulation amount of runner water flow entered, to ensure the good hydraulic performance of turbine; adjusting the flow to change the unit output, and also used for normal and accidental shut-down.

This assembly includes: guide vane inner ring, guide vane, guide vane outer ring, guide vane sleeve, guide vane arm, guide vane linkage plate, linkage plate, guide vane short-shaft and control ring.

2.3.1 There are 16 movable guide vanes, the material is ZG20SiMn. A angle of 65°is formed between guide vane axial line and turbine axial line, conical surface layout. Guide vane wing profile shall be space distortion profile, with the guide vane angle scope 0-75°. Guide vane is two support structure, low guide sleeve matched with guide vane inner ring shaft ring, Upper shaft sleeve shall be pressed in the guide vane sleeve, and guide vane sleeve shall be fixed on the guide vane outer ring. Guide vane upper, lower sleeve uses good wear resistance steel back composite material, and lubricated by water. Guide vane seal uses O type rubber ring and pressed by pressure ring. In order to limit guide vane openning, and limit pin shall be installed on the guide vane inner ring.

2.3.2 The material of guide vane arm is ZG230-450. End cover is installed at the guide vane arm, the bolt at the center of end cover is used for adjusting the height of guide vane and the thickness of padding ring, to ensure the proper clearance of guide vane upper, lower end surface.

2.3.3 The control ring shall be rolling friction ball bearing structure, it shall be combine welding parts, the control ring shall be installed at the guide vane outer ring, and connected with the servomotor by pin. 16 movable guide vane can be rotated at the same time by servomotor then driven through control ring, joint bearing, linkage plate, guide vane link palte, guide vane arm. Guide vane link plate shall connect with guide vane arm by shear pin. When the guide vane turnning, and the resistance force beyoud certain value, then the shear pin will be broken and send the signal, then the guide vane link plate will be drop off with guide vane arm, so as to protect the other component.

2.4 Rotary Part Assembly

The rotary part consists of runner, main shaft I, shaft sheath, main shaft II, transition flange, runner cone etc. The rotary part is used to transfer the potential energy and dynamic energy to rotary machinery energy by runner, and transmite to generator by main shaft to transfer to electricity energy, so rotary part plays a role of energy transfering and transmision.

2.4.1 Runner

Runner is the heart of turbine, which is used to transfer the hydraulic power to machinery energy, and plays an essential role in the turbine performance. So the runner shall be of high efficiency, good anti-corrosion, to ensure the economic and stable operation of unit. The runner blade is designed following the latest research fruit of axial tubular turbine, GD008 runner, with all indexes reaches world advanced level, the material of runner body is ZG230-450, and the material of runner blade is ZG06Cr13Ni4Mo, with good anti-corrosion and strength, blade angle of +15°. The profile, waveness and surface toughness shall be controled strictly when processing blade, to ensure high efficiency of turbine.

2.4.2 Main shaft I

Main shaft I is made by good carbon steel, with one end connect to runer and the other end connect to guide bearing, to offer a support point to rotary part.

2.4.3 Main shaft II

Main shaft II is made by No.45 carbon steel, the turbine main shaft connect with main shaft III by radial pin and coupling bolt. There are transition flange between main shaft II and main shaft III, so that when dismantling runner and main shaft II, no need to move generator. Stainless steel sheath is used to the main shaft sealing position, to extend the life period of main shaft.

2.4.4 Runner cone

Runner cone shall be forged structure, which is used to avoid from impact of water flow and reduce the hydraulic loss.

2.5 Runner Room and Cone Pipe Assembly

This part includes runner room, cone pipe, movable flange, pressure ring. Runner room, cone pipe is steel welded structure. The material of movable flange and pressure ring is Q235-A. For easy to install and maintain, the runner room, cone pipe shall be half structure, the movable flange and pressure ring between elbow pipe and elbow pipe play the role of expansion joint.

2.6 Tailrace part assembly

This part consists of elbow pipe I, elbow pipe II, square draft tube, packing seal etc.

Elbow pipe shall be steel welding structure, which is used to guide the water flow to the concrete expansion pipe. The water flow turns around in the elbow pipe, the section shape changes from circle to rectangle. In order to reduce the hydraulic loss, the water flow in the elblw pipe only change the flow direction, while the speed no changed, so the area of each section of elbow pipe is the same.

The main shaft goes through the elbow pipe, where packing seal is used at the contact position between main shaft and the elbow pipe, the packing is made of reinforced PTFE, with small friction factor, which is not easy to damage the main shaft.

2.7 Flysheel and Thrust Bearing Assembly

This part consists of φ150 radial turust bearing, main shaft II, flywheel, coupler at the generator side, brake device.

The flywheel is not just used for transient stablility and braking during the adjustment period, but also used to be the coupler at the turbine side. The brake device is oil braking structure, with the oil pressure 0.5~0.7MPa.

2.8 Automation System

2.8.1 Oil system

The thrust radial bearing is self-circulation lubrication and observe the oil level meet the requirement or not by the oil level device and indicator. Guide bearing is solid lubrication grease, which shall be filled regularly.

2.8.2 Water system

Technical water pressure shall be 0.15~0.25MPa. In one side, the unit water system offers to the main shaft seal and draft tube seal, there are flow annoucitor and manual valve install at the water inlet pipe; in the other side, offers to the cooler of thrust radial bearing, with flow annoucitor and manual valve install at the water outlet pipe. The flow annoucitor is set for controling and monitoring the water flow.

2.8.3 Other

(1) the shear pin signal indicator (1-16 CJX) is set for each shear pin of the distributor, and also a shear pin signal device.

(2) Pressure meter (Y) is installed at the turbine inlet, and the pressure vacuum meter (YZ) is used at the cone pipe.

2.9 Φ300 Panel Type Manual Drainage Valve

φ300 Panel type manual drainage valve is installed at the horizontal section of the concrete draft tube for water discharging when unit maintanance, with the diameter of the valve 300 mm, 0.25 Ton.
